When the samba rhythm starts to play

I think I am ununusual in wanting the home nations to join England at major tournament finals, so I found myself drawn to them this weekend where I actually watched a fair few of the qualifiers, and I will be tuning in tomorrow night to watch the Scots take on the Danes to see if they can qualify for their first World Cup since the Krankies were on our screens.

The Irish had a tremenduous result, any football fan unless you were Hungarian had to have enjoyed that on Sunday. I loved seeing Conor Coventry leading the chase of Troy Parrott down the pitch.

Addicks arrive in Bermuda

A big night in Bermuda tomorrow as Charlton might have chartered their own airplane to bring Karoy Anderson, Tyreece Campbell, Kaheim Dixon and Amari Bell to the Atlantic outpost.

Kaheim Dixon moves on loan to Crawley

This looks a good move for Kaheim Dixon. The youngster will move to Crawley Town for the season to play under Scot Lindsay in L2.

That’s four players now out on season-long loans – Nathan Asiimwe (AFC Wimbledon), Terry Taylor (Northampton), Gassan Ahadme (Stevenage) and Dixon.

Posh game to go ahead

Sounds as if we are a go for next Saturday at Peterborough after much speculation that the game would be called off as part of the international break.

Nathan Jones said yesterday that the deadline had passed for us to ask for the game to be cancelled, but Posh do have until Monday.

A little bit of adventure. Please.

Desperate of a little Charlton excitement I mentioned earlier in the week about playing Tyreece Campbell and Kaheim Dixon. I don’t obviously watch them in training and I have never been paid to be a football manager, but I would like to see my team finish a game without me wanting to poke my eyes out with a tooth pick.

There doesn’t seem much rhyme or reason to the sides Jones puts out. Perhaps still trying to find his best team as we head into December, So for Saturday’s cup game why not try a little width. Something a little different.

Posh off

Saturday’s game at home to Peterborough United has been called off due to our international call-ups.

Karoy Anderson and Kaheim Dixon are both part of Jamaica’s squad to take on the USA over two legs in the regions Nations League and Thierry Small got a late call up to England’s Elite squad, formally the U20’s. Congratulations to him.

Game on

Saturday’s game at home to Rotherham is on, the club deciding to play it without the services of Daniel Kanu, Karoy Anderson and new signing Kaheim Dixon.

I don’t believe Rotherham have any international call-ups.

Kaheim Dixon close

A few weeks back word came out that 19-year old Jamaican international Kaheim Dixon was expected to sign with the Addicks.

Since then he has been training with the team, but the club have been waiting on a work-permit, but it’s understood that has been sorted and Dixon may be announced as early as tomorrow.

Kaheim Dixon

It’s been very quiet on the transfer front, not even a sniff of a rumour. That was until today.

19-year old Jamaican international Kaheim Dixon is expected to sign with the Addicks. The lightning fast right winger made his Jamaica debut in a Nations League match against the USA in March and has been a regular since playing through their World Cup qualifying and in the recent COPA America finals.
