A little bit of adventure. Please.

Desperate of a little Charlton excitement I mentioned earlier in the week about playing Tyreece Campbell and Kaheim Dixon. I don’t obviously watch them in training and I have never been paid to be a football manager, but I would like to see my team finish a game without me wanting to poke my eyes out with a tooth pick.

There doesn’t seem much rhyme or reason to the sides Jones puts out. Perhaps still trying to find his best team as we head into December, So for Saturday’s cup game why not try a little width. Something a little different.

I thought TC added a fair bit to our attack at Burton on Tuesday and on the same night in North London Dixon smashed four quite impressive goals in the Addicks’ U21’s win against Wingate & Finchley in the 3rd Round of the London Senior Cup. We won 9-2. Yes, we did.

Walsall will provide tough opposition, the Midlanders are going really well, but time for something else, a little bit of adventure.

Of course among many of fan’s frustrations is we never get told how well the injured players are doing but I presume none of them will be tested on Saturday with the Crawley game coming up fast behind it.

Nine subs are allowed in the FA Cup so expect some youngsters to fill the bench, the league is more important, but I think a period of gradual improvement of results and performance is essential.
