Kaheim Dixon sold

Not on the official Charlton channels yet, but Serbian SuperLiga side FC Novi Pazar have announced that they have signed Kaheim Dixon on a 3-year contract. Dixon himself has announced it on social media.

Dixon has been at Charlton since August 2024 signed through a relationship that Charlie Methven began in Jamaica, perhaps it was more of a vanity project. That Mount Pleasant partnership continues but you have to question if it will bear any fruit other than some goodwill.

Dixon seemed like a very likable lad that at the age of 19 took a gamble and moved to London to try to make it. At times he looked far too good for the U21’s, and scored a couple of worldly’s, but was a fish out of water when he got anywhere near the first team.

I had hopes that he would rock it in League Two, but sadly he did make any impression at Crawley Town last season and was recalled in February.

Dixon does have 27 Jamaican caps, which is impressive for his age and scored four times.

On the face of it, a move to the Serbian SuperLiga is a strange one. It is a physical league where referees allow a lot of physical contact. Dixon is 150lb wet.

Collins Sichenje was signed from fellow Serbian side FK Vojvodina, and we have already witnessed how physical he is.

Novi Pazar is a small city located in the valleys in the south-west of the country. FC Novi Pazar finished 5th in the league last season just missing out on European qualification.

Back to Dixon, it’s another brave move and I wish him well. I will try to keep in touch with how he gets on.

This sale I would put on the ruthless list. I don’t expect he was earning as much as most of the squad, but Jones clearly just wanted to cut our losses and lose a squad number.
