Time to step up

Karl Robinson has talked about Mark Marshall and Ben Reeves like the coming of the new messiah’s. Reeves missed the whole of pre-season and was signed horribly unfit and with December around the corner he has only played about 120 minutes of league football. Marshall was more unfortunate getting injured in pre-season, and only started his first league game at home to MK Dons on Saturday.
However with the news that Tariqe Fosu will be out for 5 weeks and Billy Clarke for three and with 6 games between now and the middle of December, the time has come for Reeves and Marshall to show Addicks’ fans what they can do. Starting tonight.
Fosu, signed from Reading really as a back up, has been a real treat to watch and is the club’s leading goalscorer. His tenacity and confidence has given our forward play a real edge at times and he will be missed. Clarke’s signing was met with not a lot of excitement but the ex-Bradford man has been an important mainstay so this season in the no.10 role and his experience of over 250 games has been invaluable.
Both Reeves and Marshall have shown pockets of promise, but I really hope that Robinson has not over sold them. Guess we will see tonight.
