Nathan Jones has recorded a message to supporters on the official channels. We’ve had a few of these over the years, but this one seems as significant as the many others that have come before them.
There are so many thoughts swirling around my head that I’d like to get down in writing, but I don’t feel this is the time for that. That needs a clear head and it is nothing but that at present.
What we do need is one, or two, big collective 90, 100 minute performances. The best version of ourselves and all that.
We were all in this together last season, we were together during the play-off semi’s and we were all as one at Wembley.
This season has been long, windy, often exciting, but a lot fraught, but whatever your reflections and opinions, we are all of us together Charlton.
Come on you reds.

Despite how others paint my opinion. I’m a Charlton supporter, I want us to succeed. This season ‘success’ now means avoiding relegation with two matches left. I hope we achieve that even if turns out to be thanks to Millwall.
Either way I still cannot back NJ.
The aim this season is to stay in the Championship and I believe we will, hopefully by getting the points necessary tomorrow. If by chance it’s that Oxford don’t get the 6 points and goal difference needed then so be it. We will then need a big clear out of players as we won’t stay up next season with this current squad. There’s only a handful I would keep. Yes I support NJ based on what he’s achieved since he’s been here but I’m very frustrated in our style of play at times and his insistence in playing the same formation. And yes he is a basket case but he’s our basket case and I truly believe he wants the best for your club. No one said it was going to be easy and it’s certainly turned out that way.

Along with a new squad, I believe we need a new manager. We will have to agree to disagree on that one point.
Daggs, I’m 68 and like you I’ve been supporting Charlton all my life. It’s hard not to think of all the wonderful players we had in the Premiership. I apologise for my unnecessary comments, we all want the same thing at the end of the day. Keep the faith

Tomorrow is the final countdown and the elusive 1 point must be the target and I’d happily take a draw….Jones is under pressure again and needs to chose a line-up that won’t conceed….very very difficult I know…..my heart says we will stay up but the seaweed in the garden is limp !!!!
It will be a great atmosphere that will spur the team on….steady hearts and calmness will prevail…..it not over till the fat lady sings !!!!
