This Blog became 20 years old in June of last year, and to pat myself on the back I decided to list 20 Players and 20 Places that I hold dear deep in my memory.
They are in no order, all important in different ways.
I have made it as far as 18 on each of my lists and I’m churning the last 2 picks over in my mind. Try it, it is not easy.

Surely you can’t leave out Curbs from any top list of memories? Maybe he wasn’t the most exciting player, but it lead to him becoming manager and giving us fans some wonderful teams that will always be remembered.
I think Paul Mortimer may make an appearance in the remaining two unless of course its Naby Sarr 🙂 #trusttheprocess
Can I put in a vote for Kish. Surely he was Mr Charlton when he was with us. Completely committed every minute of every game. And when he scored that goal, joy was unconfined.
Matt Tees and Rodney Green, back in the day……bit too far back for you I think CA, but they were an awsome double act.😊😊

Matt Tees was built like a matchstick, but one of the greatest headers of the ball we’ve ever had at Charlton. If I remember correctly, we signed him from Grimsby. Rodney Green was a big lump with a thunderous left foot. Can’t remember who we got him from though……They were perfect foils for each other and racked up quite a few goals between them. I’m sure someone on here has the stats etc.
