King Charles III

Phew. That was quite the show, and to think they skinnied it down. I bet the queue for the Abbey’s loos goes right around the block.

I thought Charles could have cracked the odd smile and after 70 years of practicing you’d think he would know his words off by heart. The prompt cards were a little unnecessary, but again we do know how to pull off a bit of pomp and ceremony. No one does it better or with more grandeur.

The ceremonial stuff does amaze me, the history immeasurable. I dragged the sleepy-other-half, daughter and dog out of bed at before 6 to watch history being made, although three hours and a few coffees later it remained just me and the dog.

Trundling back in the carriage to Buck House to put their feet up and have a cuppa, both King and Queen did look a bit more relaxed as the traditional rain continued to drizzle.

Whatever your view on the future of monarchy there should always be a place for Penny Mordaunt, my man of the match by a long stretch.

God Save The King 🇬🇧

Pity Andrew didn’t have prompt cards during his disastrous interview with Newsnight !!
Delighted that the TV coverage on him was minimal…hope its the last I see of him.

Really bad decision by the FA to insist that the national athem be played before games to recognise the coronation today.
Did not go down well at Anfield as booed by Liverpool and Brentford fans…..expect more booing on Sunday.
