George Dobson POTY

He got my vote and a large majority of everyone else’s, George Dobson came a long way this season after being frozen out by Nigel Adkins to win the Addicks’ 2021/22 Player of the Year.

Just 24-years-old, Dobson wasn’t only the best of a bad bunch in this turgid of season’s, he was actually very good, and capped an excellent season by scoring a corker at Rotherham a few weeks back.

Congratulations George, one of the few I look forward to seeing again next season. Likewise Sean Clare, who came 2nd and the out-of-contract Conor Washington, who took 3rd place.

Daniel Kanu won the Valley Gold Young Player of the Year.

Hi, i would just like to leave my views on what has been another awful Charlton season. Whats new! Our name is linked with nearly every player in the transfer windows, we don,t buy anyone until the last day, and pick up whats left. no serious planning, we can,t afford the luxuary of players like Innes and aneke, who fall over a blade of grass and are out for six weeks. and Jackson seems incapable of moving from 2 5 3 formation, a lot needs to change.

  2. Thanks David. Future planning has been a problem for years. For instance I didn’t see any of it during the past 10 games.

    Too right CA.
Been clear for months we were going to be mired in mid table mediocrity yet Jackson did absolutely nothing to try something different.
His treatment of those 2 PL loanees was disgraceful and no doubt bigger clubs will think twice about helping us in the future as he just wont give them game time. Totally pointless and expensive exercise.
Sorry but Jackson is not the answer, more the problem.
