Duchatelet due survival bonus
One of the long list of items to be resolved before Huw Jenkins, or any other potential buyer for that matter, wants before buying the club, also includes a £1.5m ‘bonus’ ESI promised to pay Roland Duchatelet if we stay up.
Journalist Alan Nixon, who broke the Jenkins story, had been hinted at other unknown liabilities the last couple of days and today dropped the story. You can read it here.
Yesterday my brother and I were chatting that having Duchatelet assume some sort of control again of the club, but with Charlton-versed senior management in place maybe our best hope, but this article starkly reminds us what a rat and leech the Belgian really is.
There are plenty people to blame in the ESI calamity, but it was Duchatelet who introduced these conmen and long pocketed half-wits in the first place. The yellow-toothed loon’s ignorance knows no bounds.
Meanwhile the cast of nobodies that we are stuck wiTh ontinue to circle around our historic club like vultures.

Fair point CA better the devil you know but you’re overlooking how he was more or less forced to dump the club at the first available opportunity with protests, vandalism, personal abuse etc and asides from that, he wasn’t the only one taken in by these thieves
Do not think “survival bonus” is really an issue because as this rumor suggests it was between ESI and RD, thus if Jenkins were to buy CAFC that obligation would not be his to assume.
