Nimer also looking to cash in

The Evening Standard is reporting that they have sources claiming that Tahnoon Nimer is trying to sell Charlton for as much as £4,000,000. Quite a mark up on the £1 ESI acquired it from Roland Duchatelet.

After on Monday telling fans that he’d “never let us down and that he was ready to inject money and support it,” he’s apparently looking to cash it in without doing anything as far as I can, including still convincing the EFL that he has the funds and credible sourcing.

The Standard says he is looking to offload the club and is looking for at least £2,000,000. The paper reckons there is “at least one substantial interested party.” This group or individual would still need to acquire The Valley and Sparrows Lane from Duchatelet, 🙏, for I assume the £50,000,000 that the Belgian thinks it’s worth. Plus come to an arrangement with the previous directors, who are owed £7m.

Also today Rick Everett said he has learned that those directors, headed by Derek Chappell, Bob Whitehand and David Sumners have received no response to their legal letter undoing the Duchatelet/ ESI deal. A second deadline has been set for next week, which if not met, will be met with an injunction to reverse the ESI purchase.

Meanwhile Matt Southall has had a little finger type on Twitter that has been met with the usual rightful derision.
