Sheikh it up baby

Still necking the espresso’s.

After what seems like a lifetime we have our Charlton back. Roland Duchatelet’s ownership has sucked the life of Addicks fans, had burdened us with debt, made us a footballing laughing stock, and has ridiculed men, women and children who have our little football club in their blood.

Not because of their boss, but despite of him Lee Bowyer, Steve Gallen and their management team have reignited a special bond between manager, players and fans proving that we together are bigger than an eccentric egotistical bumbling and incompetent loon.

We have OUR Charlton back and now it truly is time to dance. All together now….

What an amazing Friday – I can’t stop smiling and hugging people – a bit inappropriate at work but I really don’t care. And I’ve got my season ticket already for the rest of the year – anyone is welcome to the ceremonial burning of the protest scarf in the garden before the game.
Thank you God, thank you God, Thank you. I absolutely could not care – so all those mealy mouthed people who have already said ‘be careful what you wish for’ clearly have no idea what we have been through and what would have been in store had that man stayed.
How do you say ‘I love you’ in Arabic?

Great news at last. Hope the deal is finalised quickly. The personal profiles of the takeover team are extremely positive so the EFL should have no problem ratifying the takeover. They appear to be busy people with widespread business interests so may be limited in time available for their club director duties, so the other directors need to be Charlton through and through. Hopefully they will continue with Gallen but put Murray out of his misery. Could stalwart Keith Peacock be a suitable choice.
Although it is important that key personnel are offered improved terms I think we should also safeguard our future by giving some of our promising youngsters improved longer term contracts.

    • Gallen will remain but no longer as a director it appears. Murray’s future is less clear.

Just had time to read their statement and am in tears. Oh lord, I hope it isn’t a dream.

  4. I got chills down my spine when I heard the news. A massive smile and a shout out followed. Im so happy that now boywer, Jackson, Gallen and the rest of the backroom staff have a chance of longer contracts to now have security and can plan seasons ahead rather than from one transfer window to the next. Just think of what they can now do if they get backed in the January transfer window.

Phew…dare I believe this or is it just a dream?!

Thankfully it’s over and we can move on, hopefully the technicalities can be tied up with the League and we can start to move forward. The transfer window opens soon and the takeover has come at the perfect time, the new owners can get their feet under the table and get Lee Bowyer and team under long term contracts and then we can rebuild the squad.
