The time has come

For the first time this season I will be at The Valley tomorrow to cheer on Lee Bowyer’s boys. My first Charlton game of the season. I’m shocked by that sentence.

Anyway I felt it was time to get behind the Addicks as we go in search of a play-off place and what was an ever increase improbable promotion when Karl Robinson was in the managerial seat. We’d won one game of the previous 8 under Robinson and I shake my head at how we are still in with a shout.

I fly tonight and land at Gatwick in the morning, drive around to pick my son and a couple of mates up, have a couple of pints in the Oak, hopefully meet up with another expat Addick, and then will take a seat in the Covered End Upper. Come on you reds.

Saturday night a few of us plan to go out for dinner in Chislehurst (hopefully I won’t be pissed off) and then Sunday I will drive down to Eastbourne to see my parents.

Annoyingly I fly back Tuesday, mostly because I had to for a work commitment, but Shrewsbury is a ground I’ve never been to before. Oh well, first things first. Baby steps.

Now that’s what I call commitment CA! Have a good flight and hope that you see 3 pts tomorrow to make your flying visit worthwhile.

Don’t shake your head ca. We are still in with a shout because this division is so appalling. Thanks for that roly, now bugger off. Enjoy the day and hope they play like we now know they can.

I was very tempted to go to Shrewsbury. Planned the drive and everything but then work plans changed and I had to be with a client on Wednesday, so have to fly back on Tuesday. I was annoyed at the time…. not now..
