Mavididi out for 8 weeks
That appears to be a guesstimate with Karl Robinson on Thursday saying that the loanee could make a quicker recovery, or possibly that his hamstring tendon could keep him out longer than 8 weeks.
It’s a big blow as again Mavididi has looked impressive since he re-arrived back in SE7 after leaving us injured last season. This time at least it looks as if he will be back for the season’s run in.
At his disposal Robinson does have Sullay Kaikai, Tariqe Fosu, Mark Marshall and Ben Reeves. Wouldn’t it be nice to see the ex-MK Dons man finally show us what all the fuss was about in the second half of the season?
In other news that peaked my interest, former full back Grant Basey (photo) has been appointed the Addicks kit man! I remember he suffered a really bad injury for us in a game against Bristol Rovers. He’s still only 29 and was recently playing for Cray Wanderers. He is also a very good cricketer. Good to see him back at the club.
Very valid post and this latest injury to Mavididi very unfortunate and came during a game.
However, so many injuries and when it seems to have been fit again, then breakdown ie Pearce for one.
This leads to the quiestion what is wrong with the training and they state nothing different is being done.
Very valid point about Reeves and Marshall, we waiting for most of the deason just to get fit, let alone match fit.
