Bury 0 Charlton Athletic 1

Making a point..
Pre-game Karl Robinson was again chatting to Addicks outside Gigg Lane and told a fan that Ricky Holmes has been sold from under him by Roland Duchatelet for “debt management.” Afterwards to the press he said that Duchatelet refused to sanction a part exchange with Sheffield United getting Samir Carruthers plus cash for Holmes as Duchatelet just wanted the money.
Duchatelet is taking his last kicks in the stomach of our proud club, which is already doubled up in pain following the Belgian’s 4-year ownership. Just 5 players on the bench today including two long term injuries, an academy player and a goalkeeper.
Another low as Duchatelet’s destruction of our club knows no bounds. Still Robinson also said that the club will give an update on takeover talks this week. Presumably that will fall to Richard Murray, who why he’s at it’s should speak up against the Belgian’s ownership. We’ve heard absolutely nothing from Murray and time, if it’s not too late, to try to get a slither of credibility back.
I was out throughout the game, so nothing much of it. Credit to Robinson for corralling a spirited performance. Yes, we beat the division’s worst team, but that is two wins in a row, and we are back in the top 6. Credit also to Chris Solly and Jake Forster-Caskey for wanting to make the long journey. Incidentally JFC did come on for the last couple of minutes.
Quote: “I got a knock on my door on Thursday morning from Jake and Sols. They said to me ‘gaffer, even if we can only play five minutes, can we be around the lads. This is now about us sticking together as a football club.”

Well done and yes they may be the worst team Bury, but any team, though I think lost 7 in a row now, but one still has to beat what is in front of you.
Nice to get the win and yes back to back wins for the first time since October.
Also don’t forget Bury have signed at least 2 players in this window and like I have stated the Rat trying his best to destroy to totally destroy our club.
Also I would expect players even unfit prepared to play for 10 minutes and let’s face it it they get well paid, but understand the reasons, but even not filling the bench and quoting there is no one good enough in any case,.
How do you know and they normally give them a chance and just maybe one ot two might well surprise.
Yes many of us remember going to work at 6 am and not coming back until very late in the evening and often if feeling very unwell, still attended their work and yes not handsome rewarded either.
Old school yes it has gone out of the window.
Well done CAFC on a win though.
