Wendy Perfect

Yesterday Wendy Perfect ended her 21-year association with Charlton, most of which was as an unpaid volunteer organising Junior Reds, away travel, the Valley Express routes and pick ups plus general supporter communication amongst a host of other vital things that helped build the fabric of the supporter/club association in the past two decades.

More recently as a full-time employee, Wendy was the club’s development manager and cafc.co.uk still lists her as such. No doubt her name will be erased from the Official Site and her almost life-long dedication and commitment to the club will go unmarked.

Although Wendy will still be involved with Valley Gold, she recently resigned from Charlton after Rick Everitt was shown the door. One wonders who is now responsible for the ever popular Valley Express plus away travel, young Addicks, and co-ordination with supporters’ groups?

I had the pleasure to deal with Wendy a number of times and she was friendly, knowledgeable and very efficient. Wendy cared, and one must not underestimate the work she did from way back in the dark days of Selhurst. Good luck in whatever you do next Wendy.
