Lucas Ness moves to Notts County
So, that is one off the wage bill, although Lucas Ness’ pay was not in the same bracket as Scott Fraser.
I am pleased Ness has got his move, and Notts County are a good club.

Lucas Ness signs year extension
A interesting decision to trigger Lucas Ness’ contract for a final year. The 22-year old has had exactly 33 minutes of football under Nathan Jones and has appeared way down the pecking order behind Gillesphey, Hector, Thomas and Edmonds-Green.
I am always happy to see our academy players given an extra chance to prove themselves, and this is certainly that.

You can’t criticize the effort, but you can criticize almost everything else.
Derby are not pretty to watch and I know we all do it, but their time wasting was tragic, nonetheless they walked away with the 3 points mostly due to us once again gift wrapping a goal.

That’s twice in as many weeks where we have been well and truly outplayed by a team challenging for promotion firmly putting us in our place in this division.
It reminded me a bit of a Ben Garner performance today. We had a lot of futile possession, overplayed when a simple pass would do, had no bite in attack, and made so many unenforced errors.

A very enjoyable day at The Valley yesterday with my son and a handful of mates. Pre-match I had a couple of beers with Dave, and then outside the ground bumped into fellow Bermuda Addick Matt.
The watching Charlton experience has been turned on it’s head since Christmas with whatever going on off the pitch for once being over-shadowed by what’s happening on it

Lucas Ness signed from the Met
The Metropolitan Police FC have announced that we have signed 18-year old defender Lucas Ness.
Ness only turned 18 a week or so ago and the Police therefore were unable to tie him to a contract prior to his 18th birthday. Equally the Southern League side are also due no compensation.
