This will be short and sweet as I’ve just got back from the tennis in New York and it has been a long day, and I didn’t get to see any of the game this afternoon.
Very happy with a point, the Baggies have started the season well, and it sounded like we were under the cosh a fair bit.
Bindon, Alli and Mwamba all started with Nkeng on the bench, and it was the game-changers that were pivotal in our point winner.
I was checking on the game a fair bit, and it sounded as if West Brom were unable to break through our rear-guard in the first period.
However, once they took the lead in the 2nd half, I have to say I thought that was it, so to see us come back from behind again was brilliant.
Okonkwo made a couple of fine saves, but couldn’t do much with their goal.
I watched our goal back, which was a great break from our half by JRC, then Mesik barrelled down the line, put in a lovely cross, Leaburn challenged two centre-backs and it fell to TC, and he had the net rustling in a mere second. Lovely.
Excellent result and kudos to the almost 1,000 Addicks who made the journey.

I am on holiday in sunny Majorca and couldn’t follow the game directly but a good friend and fellow Addict in Cheshire kept me up to date. It was a wonderful fightback to secure a point! It may be that we are just having a run of good luck but I think that it is more than that. NJ has built a team that cannot only defend but can score, a team that we all longed for last year. All credit to him and to the owners who have backed him financially. We currently have a team to be proud of. May it continue throughout the season this time!
A resilient performance with a committed contribution from Bindon in the first half the stand-out Charlton player. He faded a bit in the second half unsurprisingly but l feel with him alongside Jones, they will be a formidable partnership. Bell was solid too and Danny Mac did well to contain Styles . With the winger’s that Charlton have they could work the channels better and retain possession but a very encouraging solid team performance.
A good trip to west Bromwich last night a good result from a battling addicks under the cosh after half time but managed a equaliser, brilliant from the subs jrc and mesik. Motm Lloydy coyr
I will always take a point on the road. Yes,we were under pressure for long spells, but the defence looked solid for the majority of the ninety minutes…..I would like to see Rankin-Costello given a start in some games, as when he comes on he adds something extra to our midfield. Binden showed his experience at this level too. Onward to Stoke,and a tricky away day. COYR.

I’ll happily take a point from the game and we are a team in transition with new players bedding in to Nathan’s system.
The new players were brilliant and gives more options during a game to challenge the opposition.
We never panicked last night and just showed patience and tact to get that goal.
I’m very very impressed with the start we made and we are making so called pundits eat their words so far.
Watched it from the west coast of Scotland.We were under pressure for much of the game but looked dangerous on the few breaks we had.Campbell seemed out of the game but the substitutions changed things and we made inroads on the left side that we had failed to do up until then in the 2nd half. I too felt when we went 1-0 down that was it. UTA!

I think we’ve had a fantastic summer transfer window, not just acquiring good players, but also keeping those whose contracts were expiring. I wonder how instrumental Phil Chapple has been identifying players to sign? Whoever it’s, theyve done a great job. A mix of free transfers and players we’ve not really heard of, but all very promising. Keep it up!
A good away point – for all the new players, the change in formation etc it was a traditionally well drilled defence that really won us the point.
West Brom were the better side and had most of the possession but created virtually no real chances – their goal was a worldie from the edge of the box. Then we broke quickly and efficiently and scored with our only chance of the game. Last season we scored a few goals on the counter – but there were also times when thanks to an overly defensive set up that breaks would fail because the ball carrier would get isolated and robbed, this time we had TC running into space and looking for the knock-down.
That’s four points this season we’ve gained from losing positions – the total for the whole of last year was six.
