Cheltenham away in Carabao Cup
Basically a final pre-season game to allow Nathan Jones to prepare his team and squad for the main course the following week at home to Derby County.
The Addicks were drawn away at Cheltenham Town in the 1st Round of the Carabao Cup this afternoon.
With the game unlikely to appeal to a TV audience, the tie should take place at 3pm on Saturday 8th August. TV will I presume turn their attention to Middlesbrough v Wrexham (no surprise there) and West Ham v Portsmouth.
Steve Cotterill is back at Whaddon Road as their manager.

Rumour circulating that nathan jones been told he had 10 million to spend on new players but has now been told that 3 million of that money will be given to the womens team .He is not happy how is he supposed to compete at championship level what is your thoughts ca .

I didn’t hear it myself but thought that Gavin Carter said that the women’s team was a separate budget. It’s always been funded separately and going up couldn’t have been a surprise to the owners. It looked likely all year.
