MoD magazine to close
Sad news reaches me that the Addicks’ fan magazine My Only Desire are calling it a day after five years.
It’s bloody tough, time consuming and expensive to produce a regular fanzine but the guys at MOD have done an excellent job of keeping it relevant and engaging.
The MoD achieved four FSA Fanzine of the Year nominations winning twice. The final fanzine, issue no. 20 is out now featuring Addicks’ legend Steve Brown. Buy it if you can, I will.
My favourite issues were those headlined by Rob Lee (mostly as he’s a mate), Keith Peacock and the first one, which I’m amazed was 5 years, that covered our Great Danes.
Congratulations to the guys at MoD, they achieved something I’ve always dreamed off.

I’ve never actually seen a copy of that sadly.
Many years back there was fanzine called ‘goodbye horse’
I bought every copy of that (I may still have them) A brilliant piece of work. I was disappointed when the authors decided to end it.
Goodbye Horse was excellent.
That’s sad news.
My wife established Edible South Florida 15 or so years ago.
My mother in law has consistently put out a top quality publication in print. So much work and effort goes into it. The profit margins are thin but it’s made with total love and dedication each and every issue.
Thank you as always for all your effort. You ( and my brothers back home) keep me up to date on Charlton. I love hearing about your travels also.
Chin up! One more point!
And as always. Next time you are in Coral Gables!
