Zach Mitchell moves to Hibs on loan
It appears this deal was in the hands of FIFA to get approval.
Today 20-year old Zach Mitchell made the loan move back north of the border to Edinburgh and will play the season with Hibernian on loan.
Zach got some unfair stick I thought after the Cambridge game, he has real future promise, but plays in a position where errors are under the microscope.
He will continue to develop his game at Hibs under David Gray who plays with three centre-backs in a high tempo style. Hibs’ central defensive options include the experienced Scottish international Grant Hanley.
Mitchell did really well at St. Johnstone, but Hibs are a different proposition regular playing to sell out crowds at Easter Road.
Does that leave us short? We have to hope that Reece Burke can stay fit, but Bree can cover on the right side of defence as well. Then there is Jones, Bell and Gillesphey.
I suspect all of these loanees have recalls, but that leaves the outfield squad at 21 plus the three ‘keepers.

Agree CA this is exactly what Zach needs to polish up his game, as he looks like he could be a very good solid defender for Charlton. So hopefully he will come back a much better player alround player without these errors, which he has also shown in some other games and able to slot in easily at the back when required.
As you have also mentioned we only have 21 outfield players and three keepers, some of which are still carrying injuries &/or not match fit even though on the bench, ie Godden, Burke, Bree, Berry and also suspect Costello, plus also youngster Fuller who has only just been added to the first team squad, so a few more injuries &/or sending offs could leave us really short!
