Nathan Asiimwe to Dons on loan
That’s a good move for Nathan, playing a level higher up than he was at Walsall the second half of last season.
Asiimwe has joined Jacko’s League One side AFC Wimbledon on a season-long loan.
The academy graduate also put pen-to-paper on a new contract as well, which will run until 2027, with a club option of a further year.
Asiimwe could be joined in SW17 by Daniel Kanu, but like Asiimwe the club may still want to work pre-season with him especially with some injuries in the same positions.
I expect other youngsters to go out on loan, but one that intrigues me is Zach Mitchell. Zach has had another excellent pre-season, and Jones may be tempted to keep him although he does still have a full month to decide.

I’m glad you put a picture up of poor Ethan such a shame
Yes a good move for Asiimwe. As you will remember I am a fan but his progress has not been as good as I expected, hopefully this move will put him back on course. I also note that AFCW have signed Orsi from Burton. I liked the look of him when he was at Crawley but the Burton move did not seem to work, I will be following his progress with interest.
On what I have seen preseason I am not convinced that Olaofe is better than Kanu, and Kanu had a good partnership with Leaburn in the U21s so I hope they keep him at least until deadline day, which would give Olaofe nearly a month to prove his superiority. Hopefully the Knibbs transfer will be confirmed as I think he is technically better than Olaofe and Kelman.
I agree Rierti, asiinwe needs this loan to develop. He has shown potential and looks like CAFC believes there to be some development as offered him a new contract.
He is still young and areas of improvement can be found by playing in league 1. A Walsall fan I knew was very complimentary about him. I hope this loan works out for him.
I think Kanu may go on loan later, I guess it depends on injuries and if the Knibbs transfer goes through.
Olafe is a typical Jones player, that enforcer role, possibly a back up to Leaburn.
Speaking to an Ipswich fan who went, said we tried played football and look very good in patches. Felt we were exposed at the back at times as the defence was not synced.
He was optimistic about our chances! Then perhaps he was being kind towards me.
