20 Places

Just as I chose 20 Players I also chose 20 Places that have left an enduring mark on me in my life. All this to commemorate me writing this Blog for 20 years.

It was Benjamin Franklin that said “either write something worth reading or do something worth writing about” and I’ve lived by that since I penned my first Blog post in June 2004.

I’ve compiled two lists that usher together two elements that fuelled the genesis of this Blog – travel and those damn Addicks.

Determining 20 Places was a little easier that the 20 Players, yet I still had to leave out many places that I loved visiting, and in most cases would love to return.

The Maldives, Uruguay, Dubai, Mexico City, Costa Rica, Colombia, Thailand, Vancouver, Paris, Zurich, Barcelona, Rome, Milan, Copenhagen each beautiful in their own right and very memorable.

Then there are so many places in the United States that are well worth exploring such as Sedona, Las Vegas, Honolulu, Charleston and its capital Washington DC to name a few.

I toyed with Charlton Village as well as a place that, of course, brings emotive memories of all sorts.

However, I’ve chosen my 20 Places, and I’m very happy with them, but it does open my mind, and my notepad, to a whole range of other projects.
