Terry Taylor loan
Still very light on any transfer news, especially on incomings as we turn the daily calendar over to the 16th of the month.
Terry Taylor, who had a run of games before Christmas before picking up an unqualified knock, finds himself once again on the outskirts of the first team squad.
We only lost one game during his spell in the team (a lot of draws) but in many he looked our only real offensive threat. He does have a good range of passing, can operate in tight areas, and I think is the best set-piece deliverer at the club.
No matter, Taylor looks one that is available to leave the building this month and it was thought Bolton wanted to take him on a permanent, but it’s now being talked about as a loan. Shrewsbury and Stevenage have also expressed interest.
Allan Campbell, who I think has only proved Millwall fans right when they told us in the summer he was useless, is in talks with a number of Scottish clubs about moving north of the border from Luton for the second half of the season.
Campbell being removed from our budget seems like a no-brainer. He has been more than disappointing when he has played.

Taylor, apart from one game has played really well, but like Kanu one iffy game and they are frozen out, whereas Jone’s favourites can continue to play poorly but are still kept in the match day squad, even if on the bench!
Alan Campbell being one of them, who continues to be in the squad even though he has been utter rubbish in every game he has played like Ahadme, so hopefully he will be off ASAP, unless Jones persuades him to stay!
Lets also hope one game Potts is also shown the door along with Hylton but that would be too much to ask of Jones to lose two of his favourite old buddies, even though both are a total waste of space and a drain on the wages.
As for Jone’s saying after the game against Preston we are almost up to Championship standard, the mans deluded, at present we are just about holding our own in this division. He should stick to just talking about the game rather than keep spouting off utter rubbish, which doesn’t endear him to the supporters.
Moving A Campbell out has to be a priority he’s been the worst arrival this season
Jones’s treatment of Taylor has been dreadful especially when comparing his performances with AC’s
TT is an easy suggestion for one ‘to loan out to make room blah blah’ but an injury or suspension for Coventry leaves us exposed
Taylor’s similarities to Coventry do him no favours with Coventry having had 6 extra months to establish himself in SE7
The official line from SE7 is that there is no financial imperative to trimming the squad, that is only to keep everybody active
That won’t be true from next season when the new cock-eyed financial strictures are imposed
Binning off Tayo Edun makes lots of sense, startling that another 3rd tier club thinks he’s worth a punt – let’s hope we don’t come to regret it next month…
Posh have a reputation a million times better than ours of selecting well in windows. Agree on AC.
