TC’s 2 year contract
We have been told the length of Tyreece Campbell’s new contract.
“The 20-year-old winger, who joined the Addicks at U9 level, has signed a two-year deal, with a club option of an additional year.” (more)
Campbell blew hot and mostly cold last season, but made a couple of good impacts off the bench towards the end. He did start the season well under Holden though if I remember correctly.
Michael Appleton then kept switching his position around, and TC certainly doesn’t have the physical attributes to play centrally, which is where Appleton played him a couple of times. Jones when he used him played much more to his strengths.
For me he is best utilized on the left of a front three, allowing him to break inside onto his right foot.
He is still very young and also appears quite shy. Appleton killed his confidence and Jones must have seen enough in him to think he can develop his potential.
Jones has said he wants to develop Charlton’s young players and not other team’s players. I think we have a lot more to see from Campbell.

Hopefully NJ sees him as up and coming youth not as a first team regular. We need better in the first eleven.
I’m pleased to hear about Tyreece and he can only improve with sound coaching and a dusting of Nathan’s spirit.I still feel he’s on a learning curve but I’m confident that he will add to the squad.
