Addicks through to final

The Addicks U21 side are through to the London Senior Cup final for the second consecutive season after beating the Met Police tonight 2-1.

Haringey Borough were beaten last year and this year the opponents will be Hendon, who play in the Southern League Premier South.

The final will be held at Imber Court, the same venue that tonight’s game was played. Imber Court has been the home of the Met Police for over 100 years. In fact I will always fondly remember an old boy who I worked with in my first ever job used to go and watch the Met Police home games.

Last season Daniel Kanu scored twice in the final, and the team also included Karoy Anderson and Nathan Asiimwe. That has to be a great incentive for this year’s team.

The final date is TBD, but expected to be played next week.
