Zach Mitchell loaned to Colchester
I am surprised by that, although it will be good for the young central defender’s development. I assume the loan has a call back for January.
Colchester are managed by Ben Garner of course, and should get plenty of game time.
It would suggest that we plan to bring in another centre-half, with Republic of Ireland’s James Abankwah from Udinese on loan sounding likely.
That would be quite the random signing, especially if the 19-year old is the answer to our defensive woes.

I must admit I finding the last day of the transfer market a bit stressful it feels a bit like throwing darts with a blind fold on …..let’s hope it finishes with a bulls eye …COYR
Like you CA I didn’t expect Zach going on loan but it will give him more experience and if needed called back.
Fleetwood is going to e a real challenge and if we field new players a shot in the dark too.
Fleetwood will no doubt be aware we are all over the place and our fans can do their bit to get behind us tomorrow.
