Assistant Marshall leaves

We are used to strange timing of announcements, and the litany over the years of odd communiques, but as the team prepare themselves for a game at promotion chasing Plymouth today the club have disclosed that assistant coach Scott Marshall has left the club.

I assume he was waiting to see what the future held for his old boss Ben Garner, who was appointed manager of Colchester United on Thursday.

To be honest I forgot Marshall was still there, he rarely got a mention. It’s frankly hard enough to keep up with the manager’s let alone the assistants.

On the assumption Marshall with join Garner, good luck to them both at Colchester, who’s fans I am sure will enjoy their defenders passing the ball around their own box.

Having paid for Scott’s services last summer clearly Thomas didn’t want to pay compensation to Scott six months later when he sacked Garner. Always going to happen when Garner got himself a new job.

You got it in one AHLL….!!!
Scott was in a difficult position at Charlton and wish him the best at Cochester.
As Bruce Forsythe would say “who is the next person to join contestants row ?….whoever you are !! “
