An upgrade in optimism

After seeing some of the good work going on at Sparrows Lane I decided to leave off picking on Thomas Sandgaard for a while. The investment the owner along with Valley Gold has made at Sparrows Lane is transformational. The new buildings and great improvement to the infrastructure at the training ground is impressive, even more so knowing that the land and the facility is owned by Roland Duchatelet.
The new environment can’t help but to bring fresh optimism, culture and ambition when Ben Garner meets his players for the first time in person next week.
Meanwhile as a rejuvenated Sparrows Lane welcomes the players back this is a crucial week in terms of recruitment before Garner and the squad head off to Spain.
Plenty of seats available for the jolly boys outing.
Should have gone to Margate.
I would imagine that if and when Duchatelet sells Sparrows Lane he will no doubt be seeking an increase in the asking price because improvements have been made there… Hmmm!!
Exactly, Wayne Roland still owns this and The Valley. Well done all at CAFC not!!!
Roland won’t be able to seek increased revenue on work he hasn’t done!
I assume that RD would have to approved the work. If TS is any kind of business man, he would’ve got a reduction in any asking price from RD surely.
Ben Garner will have a fairly easy time meeting his players for the first time, in that there are only 14 bodies currently listed on the first team squad. Sadly, some of those are less than inspiring, based on some truly awful performances this past season. You have to wonder what is going on behind the scenes to at least double that number, which seems quite the task, given training is just about to start.
Pity that the video is mostly CAD impression of the new work.
I have it on reliable authority that not all is going well at sparrows Lane.
Roland still owns the Valley and sparrows Lane so he must be rubbing his hands at the thought of an increase in value IF he e er sells…..a nice little earner Rodney !!!!
