Thomas Sandgaard will be in attendance tonight to see for himself what all the doom and gloom is about in SE7. Enjoy the game Thomas and don’t forget Nigel’s mid term appraisal after the game.
Rich Cawley is reporting that this was a pre-planned trip, but his presence sat above him only increases the pressure on Nigel Adkins. It is pretty incredulous that Adkins has made this far as Charlton sit in their lowest ever league position and a relegation battle or a lost season the only two realistic outcomes to the remainder of this camapaign.
I’m sure the Covered End will make their recommendations to Thomas later.

I would have thought that as Technical Director(and the man responsible for the club’s long-term football strategy), Ged Roddy’s position must be under scrutiny too, seeing as he would have had a major part to play in the appointment of Nigel Adkins. That is if NA does get the sack!

Irrespective of tonight’s result Thomas must act decisively to remove Adkins & Roddy from the club. Too much time has passed already to the extent that making this season’s play-offs is already out of reach given the consistently poor performances. This season now must be all about avoiding relegation. Without a change on manager that is where the club is heading. The financial impact of relegation would be catastrophic. Attendances will plummet, commercial spin-offs will decline, it will become even more difficult to recruit better quality players, and TS will be digging even deeper into his pockets. TS needs a complete re-think about the set-up both on the playing side and with the structure of the club. The club is a car crash.

After tonight’s fiasco Adkins has used up the last of his nine lives….. He had better be gone in the morning.
I will no longer be visiting the Valley or travelling to away games as long as he remains as manager.
If you didn’t get the message from the fans tonight Thomas you are as culpable as Atkins and Roddy in the ongoing demise of our once great club.
