Announce Hemed

The transfer window may well have closed but Steve Gallen keeps rocking on. Ehrun Oztumer signed on Friday and today after a week and a half of waiting the EFL finally gave the clearance for Tomer Hemed to move from Brighton to Charlton on a free. Incredibly Lee Bowyer’s 14th signing of the summer.
Brighton had already agreed to cancel the final year of Hemed’s contract so we could sign him as a free agent, it was just that the paperwork went in right on the 5pm deadline allowing for the FA and EFL to do some long drawn out stroking of chins.
Today the deal was ratified and Hemed will join training tomorrow. Brighton fans o not have a bad word to say about the 34-year old Israeli, and obviously Dan Ashworth, the Seagulls’ Technical Director and the club as a whole were invaluable in making the move happen.
Steve Gallen said: “Tomer is an exciting signing for us. He’s a striker who has scored plenty of goals in the Championship and will fit in really well with the group we’ve got.”
Hemed brings goals, ability, teamwork and personality to the squad. A good friend of Beram Kayal I look forward to seeing them both in the red shirt.
L’Chaim!!! 🙂
How old is Hemed you say 34 other sites say 32? I hope it proves to be a good signing but most strikers lose pace in their 30s so lets hope he’s 32 those extra 2 years could make a difference.
I aged him. He’s 32.
Eventually…I presume that Macauley Bonne will now go out on loan. The word is Ipswich are interested.
