Bowyer to leave

Heartbroken.
Roland Duchatelet slathers the cream on top of a disastrous short-sighted reign as our owner. I don’t know if I can hate that man any more.
A post obviously written by the old bastard himself or an advisor is on the Official Site has just told devastated Charlton fans everywhere that he has been unable to reach agreement with Lee Bowyer and his will leave the club.
A permanent manager will not be sought whilst the club is in the process of being sold.
The article airs lots of laundry and delves deep into the money that Bowyer earned and was offered, which frankly is unsavory and pretty disgusting.
Who can blame Bowyer. Even a one extension is frankly an appalling offer.
Just 3 weeks after Lee took us to heaven, the devil awaits to stab a huge knife through our hearts.
Yep
Well that put an end to the feel-good didn’t it
Suppose it was all too good to be true but who can blame us for thinking we’d turned a corner
This sale happens quick or we’ll plummet like Bolton
Only Charlton can sign a player at midday stood on the pitch with his new manager. Then an hour later that manager leaves….
Just read that Duchatelet is to meet Bowyer tomorrow. Maybe the owner has realised the devastating effect that Bowyer’s departure would have, not just on the fans for whom he cares nothing, but also the negative effect it could have on the sale of the club if the potential of momentum following promotion is perceived by interested parties as starting to unravel. He has shown no respect at all to Bowyer either professionally or personally by revealing details of their discussions. I will be surprised if this ends well unless Bowyer really believes the end of Duchatelet’s ownership is truly imminent and is prepared bide his time on getting a better deal from new owners. We can but hope.
TalkSport’s article suggests that Bowyer is “bewildered” by the post on TOS – https://talksport.com/football/efl/559881/lee-bowyer-charlton-athletic-manager-roland-duchatelet/
Really hoping Bowyer grits his teeth and puts up with the old fool long enough for a sale to go through. We desperately need some stability.
Was amused by Lyle Taylor’s responses though… https://twitter.com/lyletaylor90/status/1140664067499134976
