In the gutter

This news spread widely yesterday and has now appeared in the national press of two current Charlton players arrested and subsequently appearing in court in Ibiza over an alleged rape attack on a teenage British holidaymaker at a hotel earlier this week. A third older man

If found guilty then Charlton, football and society in general does not want these kind of animals associated with it. My thoughts are with the girl involved and her family. The story makes me sick to my stomach.

Of course this has absolutely nothing to do with Roland Duchatelet, but our precious football club lurches from one disaster to the next. Charlton once a name associated with community, charity and supporter relationships is in the gutter and with those left with any influence at the club just standing by and watching.

Innocent until Proven Guilty in a Court of Law. Only accusations at the moment. We don’t know the full story nor circumstances yet.

  2. Agree John but unfortunately the damage is already done. Ched Evans was found not guilty as were the Irish Rugby players (Paddy Jackson and Stuart Olding) but it has ruined the lives of many – as in all these cases, there are no winners. The images of Ahearne-Grant and Hackett-Fairchild in handcuffs is not a pretty site.
