Charlton Athletic 1 Bradford City 1

So predictable..

If only we could get a second goal. It rarely happens. Even with such an attack minded squad. I followed on Charlton Life’s match thread via inflight wifi and those last 10 minutes it was like we were all waiting for them to score. Maybe that is the players mentality too?

In fact, it sounded as if Bradford deserved it. Yes they dished it out, beat us up, but for me it sounded as if that equalizer was coming.

We were blinding first half hour, we naturally slowed a bit, but at the half it looked good. Fosu was unplayable, Magennis scored again, Marshall was dangerous, Dasilva was, well Dasilva and Kaikai sounded a treat.

2nd half? Well..

That team is missing a leader and I hope Jason Pearce plays on Saturday. It appears to miss Joe Aribo too, who has been banished to bench warming duties. I feel, in my limited amount of time seeing them play together, that Kashi and JFC are too similar.

I’m a bit of a Robinson sympathizer, but his game management and whatever he coaches into them has gone to shit. This team, bench and back up has to be better than clinging onto 7th. We are going backwards and yes Karl, better than last year, but that ain’t saying much.

We are at the point now where promotion challengers become candidates, potential becomes reality. Robinson has to step it up, not only does he have to prove himself to new owners but also to us and himself. Starting tomorrow.

Quote: “The substitutions we have made on Saturday and today, we’ve conceded through two deflections and you can’t knock my players for that – please don’t. Please.”

Sorry not good enough at all and see teams below us cutting the gap each week. Crikey look at Plymouth and Southend. Playoff a pipe dream, but clinging on to 7th spot and just about sums it up

I’m a symapathiser too but now realising that the affable heart on the sleeve personality has transferred to the teams mentality – we need grit and determination, the will to kill teams off, I don’t think he’ll deliver it unfortunately.
One day CA you’ll be on here waxing lyrical, running out of superlatives, and when that day comes, we won’t be relying on Megenisis and Ajose for a winner (Ajose ffs!) or exposed by tactical ineptitude from the touchline.
Hate to be downbeat but I really think it’s a summer rebuild with new owner/manager if/when it happens – and if Duchatalet honestly thinks the shell of a club he’s created is worth £45M he should try getting down there on a wet Tuesday night watching us blow it again with the other 7000…

Ugh. Another summer rebuild I could not bear. I honestly think we have the bones of a good team, of course that’s if they stay..

But I’m with you on your first sentence Steve.

On a windswept Scottish isle – and himself checked the score and said – ‘oh its the worst possible score, you don’t want to know’ . 2-0 down I said. Nope, 4-0 down, Nope. 1-0 up. Oh. Enough said.

      Lol 😆
Yep I always thought it was 2-0 that managers said was the dodgy scoreline. Chance will be a fine thing….

In the second half, lack of management by KR, he just let game drift, changes were needed from 65 minutes. Solly has been a good loyal player but is not a captain.I have joined the NEW OWNER NEW MANAGER camp.
