Rovers Return

Anyone else nervous about tomorrow? Blackburn are the form team in the division and have scored 18 times in their last 6 league games. After a slow start Tony Mowbray is getting Rovers’ act together and they and Wigan look nicely settled in the top two places.
Blackburn have a strong squad, which is sprinkled with some young players and tomorrow will I fear be one of our strongest tests of the season at a time when we are struggling to find any kind of adhesion.
Ex-Charlton academy midfielder Bradley Dack has started to show why Rovers paid Gillingham £750,000 for him in the summer, although many Addicks already knew of his quality and were calling for Robinson to sign him, but sadly our budget was never going to extend to that.
Jason Pearce I’d expect will start as we have lacked stability and cohesiveness at the back. I wonder too if Robinson will mix it up bit further up the field even though his options are limited. Ex-Rovers man Leon Best may get the nod ahead of the struggling Magennis and KAG surely deserves another chance. It’ll be nice also if Mark Marshall and Ben Reeves used Saturday as the time to show why Robinson had been talking them up for months.
‘That’ Darren Pitcher goal on a cold February night 23 years ago is a distant but fond memory for me, and I hope tomorrow we can put up a similar rearguard display with the same amount of luck.
