Lookman stays until 2020
Well ok, that’s a bit far fetched even in Pinocchio’s world.
First things first though, thank you to young Ademola, who at 18 at least has a sensible head on his teenage shoulders and thanks to those around him who at least preach patience and reality. Ademola could have gone in the window cheaply and for what? To sit in an academy full of high paid, pampered, appearance-less teenagers? Ademola has come up the hard way, the Jamie Vardy way, let’s call it, so rare that young player’s break into professional football via the back door these days. He comes from a different world than a Cristian Cebellos for example.
Ademola Lookman we will at least get to enjoy for a bit longer. To 2020? Do me a favour. To the end of this season? Probably.
Lookman is one of those young men that Katrien Meire talked about. Watch him for a little bit and then we will sell him to a Premier League club. And then we can enjoy him even more! Hmmm. Have no fear Roland Duchatelet has booked Lookman’s transfer fee to cover next season’s drop in revenues. And we believed him when he said he has not planned for relegation. He’s sat there now, in his home cinema, with his pussy on his lap, laughing at us.
If Roland Duchetelet didn’t do any due diligence on the club when he bought it, then he got very lucky with Joe Gomez and Ademola Lookman, who wasn’t even at the club at the time Duchatelet took ownership. I tell you, we are properly up sh*t street when Steve Avory has enough and walks out.
Lookman obviously has break clauses in his contract, and understandably so. I would if Meire and Duchatelet were my bosses. However wouldn’t it be nice if we got to see Ademola through next season as well. He would be a superstar in League One and his transfer price would only rise.
Jason Euell has decided to move back to coaching the U21’s. Good for Jason to keep learning his trade with an ambitious group of young players whist out of the disaster zone that is the 1st team squad and it’s management. Damian Matthew took that step and ended up carrying the can. Hopefully Jason can stay around a bit and survive like the rest of us these idiots in charge.
Simon Clark is a talented coach I understand and good luck to him, he may need it. I’m told Euell couldn’t agree terms to continue as 1st team coach, Clark was cheaper I’d imagine. Duchatelet’s nothing but consistent.

Yeh right. The biggest smoke screen so far in our club that has fallen foal to the twosome from hell.
Ademola as loss of faith in our gaff n the board juss like wot I do n I always look forward to seein im play ome n away.
What a total c**t you are….
He should score plenty of goals in the 1st Division. I hope so because that’s where Charlton will be playing.
Well a2c I never thought that you would suffer ‘loss of faith’ in the board, what’s that? oh pardon me business, as usual.
Great shout Terry, it looks like the mockney translation tool that a2c puts his copy into has let him down this time…
Thanks tex77, sometimes we are gifted opportunities that are too good to pass up.
This is all part of the KM/RD charade. Roland – it is very unlikely that young talent will want to come to us when we are scraping around in the lower reaches of League one.
