N’Guessan joins on loan

A new loan player joined the promotion push at Sparrows Lane this morning. With Danny Haynes injured and Leon Clarke unceremoniously packed off to Crawley on Friday night, there wasn’t a striker on the bench on Saturday, although Adebayo Azeez did travel with the squad.

Paul Hayes scored another goal for loan club Wycombe on Saturday, and can return later this week and Jason Euell is back at Sparrows, but it is unclear to his future.

Ex-Leicester team mate of Powell’s 24-year old Dany N’Guessan has joined the Addicks from Millwall until the end of the season. I have read mixed reviews of the Frenchman, but the same applied to Yann Kermorgant and Michael Morrison, two other players that Powell knew better than most.

We need some more firepower, he hasn’t been prolific but I do remember N’Guessan had a very nice cameo at St Mary’s this time last season and is another Powell signing of a player with something to prove as he seeks to impose himself on a club.

UPDATE: Lee Cook also signs until the end of the season from QPR. He looked pretty disinterested last time but another body for the run in.
