Tyler Bindon loan confirmed
Nottingham Forest defender Tyler Bindon has signed on loan for the season.
I believe the deal was done before the Preston game, but we all like a Sunday signing!
Bindon is right-footed and can play right back too, similar to Kayne Ramsey. He played in a back four at Reading and was used more in a back five at Sheffield United last season.
The Blades and manager Chris Wilder made it pretty clear they’d like the Kiwi back but they have some issues up there at the moment, so looks as if Nathan Jones stole in, who obviously had a relationship with him.
The rapid move and release of funds for Binden is also part of a revolution we have not seen for many years. Great work by the recruitment team as I don’t expect that was on the wish list until Wednesday night.
Losing Sichenje is a real shame as we have seen in snippets real potential, but Binden feels the squad gap nicely and adds to competition in the central defensive position.
I thought Amari’i Bell was excellent again yesterday. He is such a clever player, but even in the less aerobic position of CB over LB or LWB, he isn’t going to play in every game.
Bindon is only 21 but has banked 117 appearances in England, to go along with his 28 international caps.
New Zealand’s next two games during the international break are in China and Japan, so some long hauls.
Happy to have you him board, welcome Tyler.
