What a pleasant start to the day.
Lloyd Jones has signed a contract extension that will take him to 2028, so technically another year, but a significant piece of business for the club to retain his services.
There was a lot of interest in the 30-year old who was top 5 in many of The Championship defensive metrics last season. Jones is not only a good footballer, but he is a warrior and a leader and I think he has been instrumental in re-building a bond between fan and player since Nathan Jones replaced Michael Appleton.
Jones will be 32 in the summer of 2028, so a 2-year extension makes sense for the Devon lad.

Talk that TC has signed an improved offer as well, will see if that comes to fruition. Still torn re: his true ability, but interested to see what he can do with more talent around him. Hoping Mbick sticks around & gets some run to show what he can do, think there’s def a player in there.
