Seville, the sun-drenched capital of Andalusia. The birthplace of flamenco, home to the largest gothic cathedral in the world and the breathtaking Royal Alcázar palace, which took just the 1,000 years to build.
Tapas dishes can take a matter of minutes to appear in front of you and the need for elasticated trousers is real.
Seville is stunning, and my camera phone is not doing it justice. The stone work, the tile, the facades, the roof terraces and the orange trees stood side by side in blistering heat. Kodak moments aplenty.
We’ve walked miles along narrow cobbled streets and I need to put my feet in a big bowl of bubbly hot water.
Everywhere the ‘NO8DO’ motto is visible. “No-madeja-do,” when said out loud in Spanish, which translates to ‘it (Seville) has not abandoned me.’
We are not abandoning it, but we do have to leave and today we head south to Mijas.
I love Mijas almost as much the Addicks. Have a great time

We have stayed in Mijas Costa many times in a friend’s villa and love the location,food people and food….
We ate frequently in Mijas that has great restaurants and views from the town tonthe coast
We love to dine in the restraunt to the left of the car park where the food and views are stunning.

If you have time, catch a bus up into the Andalusian hills & visit ‘Mijas Pueblo’, a beautiful hilltop village to explore & from which the views down to the coast & the hills above are amazing!. It has a very helpful “Tourist Information Office”, who will give you a detailed map & advise places definitely worth visiting!
I love Seville, haven’t been there for a while, but everything about it is good. The architecture, the food, the people, the drinks, nice courtyard hotels, perhaps I ought to return.
