Tanto and Gough off
Sounds like both will leave on loan in the next couple of days.
Oloafe is expected to join Lincoln and Gough will join Steve Evans’ Bristol Rovers.
Tanto has done well to get himself a Championship move. Lincoln lost their manager in the early summer and haven’t been over-active in the market. Yesterday they sold key midfielder Jack Moylan to Cardiff.
I feel Rovers could be the surprise package in League One so that is a good move for Keenan.
Jones talked today about injuries. Kelman’s shoulder issue is allowing him to do some non contact training, but if I add the obligatory few weeks to Jones’ estimations then I don’t expect to see him until October. Gutting for Charlie, and us.
Josh Edwards is still not ready but Rob Apter, Micah Mbick and Collins Sichenje are back in full training.
It also sounds as if a decision will be made on Nathaniel Chalobah very soon. Jones was quick to emphasize to Rich Cawley that if he does sign, he would be in addition to the two new players he wants, which are a right winger and another midfielder.
One player who won’t be joining is Lyndon Dykes who has signed for Millwall. A bit out of the blue that one.
Lastly the squad numbers were released today. I’m a bit old school and read too much into them, but they don’t carry as much weight anymore.
Still, it was nice to see Josh Edwards at 3 and Harvey Knibbs at 8. Karlan Grant takes the 9 shirt and 15 and 16 are empty.
UPDATE #1: Gough deal to L2 Bristol Rovers confirmed.
UPDATE #2: Oloafe deal to Lincoln confirmed.

Bristol Rovers would really be a surprise package in League 1 as they are in League two. Finished 14th after getting relegated in 24/25. Good move for Gough though joining the not so big geezer
Whoops. Yes. That would be something 😀.
I don’t know about you CA, NJ didn’t seem over enthusiastic about the two players coming in and I can’t see it being a creative midfielder we all know we need, I get the feeling there is a bit of a under current and Jones is not happy, good luck to both tanto and young Gough coyr
Happy birthday to, Eddie firmani manager and player , manager of the great side of 68/ 69 season, a season I just started to really support Charlton . Great players too, Crawford Tracy reeves and off course keith peacock
Tanto Olaofe has been a major disappointment, both he and the club have done very well to get him a Championship loan, getting his wages off the payroll for the season.
Don’t understand why NJ thinks we need a right sided player. Both TC and Karlan Grant are right footed, TC more especially is less hampered playing on the right than on the left where he so often disappoints – his left foot really very weak. All unless the noise around TC to Preston has merit and a chunky transfer fee.
