Au revoir
Finish this Charlton Athletic trivial pursuit question:
Cory Gibbs, Sérgio Leite, Anil Koc, Rúrik Gíslason, Steve Barbé, Martin Christensen, Florent Rouamba and….?
The 32-year old left sided French defender Jérôme Roussillon becomes the most recent exoticically sounding professional footballer to leave Charlton without making a single appearance.
That list above were all signed with a variety of fanfare’s, but left without so much as a ding of a triangle.
Roussillon signed for us two months ago but was not fit or very good or both, but today he left the club one would assume fitter than he was when he arrived and immediately signed for French Ligue 2 side Amiens.
Roussillon made the bench four times but never played a minute and joins an elite club. Other less exotic players that never played a minute but did warm the bench are here courtesy of Stuart Court.

There should be serious questions asked of the person whoever scouted this player. Money is precious enough without wasting it on no mark player’s. We have an abundance of those already!
Precisely 100%
NR totally agree, I have been asking that question for quite a while, as more than half of NJ’s signings have been a total waste of time and money? But then it does appear NJ has full control over who he wants and its just a matter of whoever it is, trying to sign the player for the best terms they can get them in at!
Plus, if they have any link with NJ/Luton in the past, they are promised more game time! 🙂
We don’t need a left sided defender so no loss 😀
He sort of at Wrexham with his handball and maybe one other and in the bench, and yet another waste of space
I understand he was gifted 400k when he joined and hope he’s going to pay the club back if that was the case…
I’m sure I saw Cory Gibbs make one appearance. Perhaps it was in a cup game? I’ve never attended reserve games so it wouldn’t be that!
More birthdays at the club than appearances. He must have been shocking not to have even got a minute, especially judging by the experience he had. Hopefully that means we’ve another lined up.
Typical NJ handing out contracts like santa hands out presents he had absolute no chance of playing him on the bright side of things I hear the cleaner may sign as left back
Sorry Craig…..your cleaner is in talks with Man City 😄
Lets not overlook the tea lady, I hear she’s a bit nifty up and down the corridors. Got good defensive qualities too, especially where the biscuit tin is concerned.
Agree Greg….but she can only push the trolley on the right of a corridor….pity !!!!
If the cleaner goes to man city they’ve got a steal as for the tea lady she’s been under contract since NJ took charge but won’t play her for some reason we ll just pay her wages like everybody else who walks past the valley
I’ve heard a rumour that if the tea lady goes, Rob Apter is in line for her job as he has plenty of time on his hands since his row with Jones, and needs to justify his wages !!!
He’d have to push that tea trolley from Sparrows Lane to The Valley and back in full kit too
He seems to have plenty of time on his hands to do that…..especially on a Saturday afternoon…. Lol
Talking of rob apter local news paper up here in Manchester linking apter with Bolton
Back to Blackpool on loan as well yesterday
