My Top Five 2024 Favourite Restaurants
🔝5️⃣. Up next in my annual collection of Top Five’s is Restaurants🍖. I was lucky to eat in some fantastic restaurants last year and selecting just five wasn’t easy.
After a lot of thought I did settle on five, and here are my Top Five 2024 Favourite Restaurants 🍖
1️⃣ Torrisi, New York 🍝
Conceived by Chef Rich Torrisi This is an Italian restaurant but with lot’s of different influences. Outrageously brilliant food. We tasted about 15 different dishes and probably as much wine. Memorable dinner and a head turning clientele. It is still almost impossible to get a reservation.
2️⃣ Adeline, Sarasota 🌱
This restaurant changed name since our two visits last year (it was called Meliora). The food, the service, the attention to detail owes itself to a bigger city, but I am so glad it is up the road. Two visits, and two magical experiences.
3️⃣ Osaka, Miami 🍣

A little family spontaneous outing to this hot spot in Miami. Both beautifully presented and tasting, the food has its soul in Japan but inspiration in Peru. The Bejatarian menu was a great plus. Brilliant server. Brilliant dinner
4️⃣ City Social, London 🐑
Dark and moody interior, I went there twice last year, and both times the place was buzzing and the food terrific. This is the old Gary Rhodes NatWest Tower spot, now under the management of Michelin star chef Jason Atherton.
5️⃣ Ki’is, Riviera Maya, Mexico 🌮
Tasty flavours from Guadalajara and Mexico’s Pacific coast. We did the tasting menu x3 including two vegetarian. 7 courses some great, some even better. Sadly at one point we were the only people in there, which took away a little from the experience, but the food was awesome.
🍖 Honourable Mentions: Gekko, Miami; Berns Steak House, Tampa; Predalina, Tampa.

Morning CA, With all this jet setting around the world and all these lovely resturants you have visited over the many years, I better not ask your waist size now! 🙂
A lot larger than it used to be, Mike!
Nice heads up on Osaki in Miami – I’m headed there next month and will check it out!
