A dismal game that could have been ruined by the weather, but watching Charlton it is hard to tell these days.
It was better than Tuesday, but that is a very low bar, although reverting to a back three and two wing backs meant at least we couldn’t just pump it long, and they did try to pass it.
The biggest positive was the return of Lloyd Jones, which coincidentally improved Mitchell, and Gillesphey.
That’s where the positivity ended. The conditions caused by Storm Darragh had an obvious impact, but it was two poor sides that created just a shot on target each over the whole game.
Post game Jones wanted to concentrate on the clean sheets and our defensive record thus far, but it is in the opponents half where we have shown real inefficiencies all season. That is 18 goals in 18 games.
I not convinced today was a step in the right direction, but it’s the cup next and we are world beaters in the cup so warm up the bus.
One last point. Those loyal lunatics up in Lincolnshire today. Hats off to you. Great noise and safe journeys home all.

A draw away is always a good point but to say after all this time we are work in progress shows how bad we are another season in this league is a definite and maybe a season more we need some players who can open up a game more attacking options and someone who can find the back of the net
But first we need a Manager who know’s what he’s doing and actually knows and can bring in some good decent players, not his old favourites, has beens or never will be type, who they have never ever seen play, but one of his old cronnies recommended them! Plus also then get his players to try and play some decent entertaining football, which the fans will at last enjoy watching for a change! Rather than the current & previous run of of managers, who spout off how good they are when they first arrive and are going to change everything for the better etc etc. Then as per normal, as it gets worse, still continue with the same bull when the ship starts sinking, and just hoping & waiting for their nice fat payoff, which the idiots up top, who believed in all their original hype, put in their long term contracts!

Didn’t actually mention any players as I think most supporters can see the poor players Jones has brought in along with the other ones signed by previous managers, who he still plays!
In respect of Ramsey, he wasn’t brought in by Jones he was signed previous to Jones joining!
Plus Ramsey has been one of the best signings Charlton have done, just a pity he has had two bad injuries! Which always seems to happen to our best players, rather than the rubbish ones!!!
Ramsey looks a decent player, what little we’ve seen of him. Unfortunately he’s now challenging Aneke for the most often injured player award. Small is the definition of ‘a player who blows hot ‘n’ cold’
