Walsall away
Not one to set the heart racing. Drawn out of hat fourth to play Walsall away. The game will be played over the weekend of Friday 29th November and Monday 2nd December.
Walsall are going well in League Two placed second and beat Bolton yesterday to reach the FA Cup 2nd Round.
We last played them a couple of seasons ago in the League Cup and our last league meeting was 2019 New Year’s Day at The Valley. Karlan Grant and Lyle Taylor scored to give us a 2-1 win the year we won promotion.
Our last visit to the Bescot was that same season six years ago this week. We beat them 2-0 in front of just 3,719. Taylor (pen) and Bielik scored. To jog the memory it was the game when Josh Cullen and Igor Vetokele both dislocated their shoulders!

Could it be televised?
I’m happy with the tie, but it is the sort of match that neither set of fans really want. Walsall will be looking at us and not wanting the hassle of being disrupted from their league campaign while we are thinking exactly the same.
I didn’t want a lower half of L1 or L2 tie, those are the sort of games where clubs have nothing to play for league wise, they aren’t expected to win either so they have a shot to nothing.
I reckon there’s a good chance it might be on TV. There really aren’t many ‘interesting’ ties.
