Deji Elerewe sold to Bromley

It’s always sad to see an academy player move on, but I am truly excited for Deji Elerewe, who today signed a permanent deal with Bromley. The club and player know each other well and Deji moved for an undisclosed fee with a sell-on clause.

As part of the deal, Charlton have a first refusal clause, meaning the club will be made aware, and can match, any offers that come in for him in the future.

In two loan spells Deji has played for Bromley 21 times and earned rave reviews as Bromley edge ever closer to the promised land of league football.

It was decision time for the 20-year old who first pulled on a Charlton shirt when he was 13, and as it stands he sits in the pecking order behind Jones, Gillesphey, REG, Ness and Thomas with Zach Mitchell due back from Colchester in the summer.

As an aside Mitchell has played 29 games this season for Colchester and is younger.

Good luck Deji for the future.
