Panutche Camará signs on loan
As the takeover edges to completion with Rich Cawley saying the EFL approval has been given, the club have announced the signing of midfielder Panutche Camará on a season-long loan from Ipswich Town.
The 26-year old had a reputation for being a mobile and dynamic midfielder when at Plymouth for two seasons. Ipswich signed him for £500,000 last deadline day but then he suffered a groin injury which later required surgery and time out.
Camara got fully fit but struggled to get into the team at Ipswich who after Christmas went on a scintillating run of form that ended in promotion. He has played just 4 games for the Tractor Boys, scoring once.
Ipswich’s promotion has meant they have offered up a number of last season’s squad for loan, and Camara does look a good proposition as Holden looks to change the system and style of play.
Camará received his first international call-up from Guinea-Bissau in June 2012, and has 4 caps.
Guinea-Bissau have qualified for the African Nations Cup which will run between the middle of January to the middle of February.

That makes me feel better, we needed extra midfield players, as long as not injury prone, sounds like a useful candidate.
He had a groin problem last season albeit in the first half of it, but has played regularly in season’s before then.
Thanks CA, thats good news and sounds useful defending or going forward. Starting to feel we might be building a half decent team. Don’t want to be greedy, but another forward would be useful as I suspect May would be better with two upfront and the rest of our forwards currently injured.
Hector, May and Camara is better than I had hoped. We need that level of recruitment to continue.
He’s the sort box-to-box midfielder I wanted us to sign. Again we’ve got in a player well before the season kick-off. I like it that we are getting some business done early.
Supposedly Sheffield Wednesday wanted to sign him but Ipswich were reluctant to let him go on loand to a competitor.
A midfield of Dobbo-Camara-Fraser with two wing men/wing halves and May loos a good attacking line.
Given that Alfie May is not that tall he needs to be paired with someone with a bit of height, the currently injured Leaburn and Aneke fit the bill there, but maybe another striker?
We just need some wing backs now and a bit of depth.
