Michael Hector signs
I look forward to the drama that will surround a signing that we might actually part cash for. Social Media came alive this evening as the club announced the 12-month contract for Michael Hector.
The 30-year old Londoner has resigned for a year after making 17 appearances last season when he was a free agent.
Hector showed a fair bit of class on and off the field last season and built a nice little partnership with Lucas Ness. Fully fit with a pre-season behind him his presence and experience could prove invaluable.
The best of luck Michael.

Great signing. A statement of intent?
I’m hoping. Best of luck big Hec!
Pleased to see Michael Hector has signed, as I thought it might not happen. Played well for the Addicks and got better the more games he played. All we need now is a midfielder and goal scoring forward. COYR
Should be a good signing. In January he looked short of match fitness but still did a good job and improved as time passed. He now has 5 weeks to hone his fitness before the Orient game. No need to play tomorrow against Welling as he is a week behind the rest of the squad.
He’s London based and has a young family so I always suspected that we would have first dibs on signing him.
Last season he was lacking match fitness having not played since leaving Fulham, but he hardly played for Fulham when he was on their books. That accounts for his form tailing away at the end of the season when he was playing twice a week and showing signs of weariness. A good pre-season and I hope he’ll be our defensive leader next season.
I hope you are wrong about the possible loan of Zack Mitchell, I rate him highly and he has a good appetite to get forward. Although I agree we do have a a surfeit of Centre backs.
