Bahama Islands
We all leave today for the Bahamas where my daughter is again representing Bermuda at an international swim meet. The Bermuda team is joined by other Caribbean nations as well as a sprinkling of Americans and Canadians trying to secure Olympic qualifying times, so it should be fun to watch.
The Bahamas are the best swim team in the region and are hosting their national championships from Thursday through to Sunday, so the other teams are swimming by invitation.
We have to fly there and back via New York, which allows a little childless date night in NYC tonight 🙌, although an early flight to Nassau awaits tomorrow.
Whilst the team travel and stay separately, the parents are residing at Baha Mar, which is a huge resort complex on the island of New Providence. There are plenty of temptations to find trouble, and I will no doubt be right in the middle of it, but there will also be many hours morning and night sat by the pool cheering on the Bermudian swimmers 🇧🇲

26c here in North Yorkshire today…..but Scarborough is a long way behind The Bahamas in kudos !!!!…..Fingers crossed for the transfer window.

I think the players return e d of month or early July….
I understand the groundstaff are undertaking renovation work on the pitches ready for training.
