My Top Five 2022 Favourite Hotels

🔝5️⃣ In 2023 I stayed in the same amount of hotels than I did the year previous which was 19, although that year most of those came in the second part of the year.

Still, five was hard to narrow down last year, but led by our summer holiday location in Puerto Rico I have below selected My Top Five 2022 Favourite Hotels 🏨

1️⃣ St Regis Bahia Beach, Puerto Rico

A great place to laze, situated on 483 acres on a large coconut plantation between El Yunque National Forest and the sparkling Atlantic Ocean. Our fondness of the hotel was enhanced by the general manager befriending us and taking us on a private tour of the resort which includes a Robert Trent Jones golf course, tennis club, wellness centre & spa, lake, farm, vegetable garden, dog home, bird sanctuary and beautiful walking and biking trails.

2️⃣ NoMad Hotel, Las Vegas

A hotel situated within the huge Park MGM on the Strip. Park MGM is typically Vegas, whereas NoMad is not. Grown-up, discreet luxury, dark sexy decor, a great bar and restaurant and an escape from all of the madness outside.

3️⃣ 1 Hotel, South Beach, Florida

It’s not just the smell in it’s palatial lobby – you have to smell a 1 Hotel – but this hotel has a coveted beach side spot on South Beach with glorious facilities and a must see roof-top. An elegant property with larger than usual rooms.

4️⃣ Setai, Miami Beach, Florida

This was on last year’s list as well. We were here in July for a couple of days, and the luxury, service, food and people watching was just as on point as it was last year.

5️⃣ The Beekman, New York

In Lower Manhattan. Architecturally classic building combining contemporary and functional elements whether working or playing. There is a very cool bar downstairs.
