My Top Five 2022 Favourite Places

🔝5️⃣ My next 2022 Top Five is places. Travel was better in 2022 if not extensive and if I tell you until recently Accrington was on my list, then that tells me I need to get out more..

We did a few trips, nowhere new or too far, but were lucky to sample some new parts of some old places. Here are my 2022 Top Five Favourite Places 🏞️

1️⃣ Puerto Rico

Last here 13 years ago, we took a last minute summer trip back and we stayed an hour away from the atmospheric historic capital of San Juan in a resort nestled on a large coconut plantation between El Yunque National Forest and the sparkling Atlantic Ocean.

2️⃣ Siesta Key

A spit away from our house in Sarasota. This seven-mile long barrier island has some of the best voted beaches in the country. The village has an eclectic mix of cute boutiques, beachwear & t-shirt shops, water sports rentals, restaurants and lively bars. As a bonus you may just see dolphins in plain view just off the shore.

3️⃣ New York

We celebrated our daughter becoming a teen in the Big Apple in October. Staying in the NoMad district. In all points north, east, south and west we walked, shopped and ate a lot. We also saw Aladdin at the historic New Amsterdam Theatre on Broadway. It was brilliant and by the trip’s end New York was a ‘whole new world’ for our daughter.

4️⃣ Barbados

It was rather random that we visited Barbados twice in a few months last year. We watched a lot of swimming (our daughter was competing), so stayed pretty local to Bridgetown both times. Barbados does have a lot to offer with 70 miles of coastline offering the archetypal sun, sea and sand holiday.

5️⃣ Miami

I had to include Miami as I was there seven times last year. It’s an easy flight from Bermuda, and is a good jumping-off spot for almost anywhere else in the world. I love the ‘Magic City’ and all of it’s crazy personalities.

CA you certainly get around and have a lot of lovely holidays, pity I’m not working anymore as I would have asked if you had any vacancies at your firm! 🙂
